The Thirty Third Annual New England Summer Picnic is an eagerly anticipated event that brings together community members, families, and friends for a day filled with fun, food, and fellowship. This year, the picnic will take place on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, and promises to be a highlight of the summer season.

Location is key for this gathering, and it will be held at the beautiful Camarillo Grove Park, situated at 6968 E. Camarillo Springs Road. This picturesque park is easily accessible via the 101 Freeway, with the exit conveniently located at Camarillo Springs Road. The event will be hosted in Area #1 of the park, which will be open for attendees from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing ample time for guests to arrive, mingle, and enjoy the various activities planned throughout the day. As a reminder, the parking fee will be covered for all attendees.


 

Bring Your Own LARGE Platters

One of the highlights of the picnic is the serving time, which is scheduled from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. During this hour, attendees can indulge in a delightful feast featuring an impressive 1 1/2 lb. Main Lobster, available for a donation of $60.00, as well as a succulent 1 lb. New York Steak, offered for a donation of $50.00. These mouthwatering options are sure to satisfy even the most discerning palates.

Alongside these main courses, guests will also enjoy a selection of delicious side dishes, including sweet and buttery corn on the cob, refreshing coleslaw, and warm garlic bread. For those who are seafood lovers, Mussels will be served if available, adding an extra touch of culinary delight to the menu. Additionally, there will be free hot dogs available for kids, ensuring that younger attendees have tasty options to enjoy.

To quench your thirst, complimentary water and refreshing lemonade will be provided, allowing guests to stay hydrated throughout the day while enjoying the summer sun.

Entertainment will be provided by a DJ, who will be spinning tunes to keep the atmosphere lively and engaging. Whether you want to dance or simply enjoy the music while socializing with friends and family, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.


 

This picnic is proudly sponsored by the Ventura County Scottish Rite Bodies, a testament to their commitment to community engagement and support.

The net proceeds from this event will go directly to the RiteCare Childhood Language Center of Ventura.

Card payments can be made online, or you can pay by check in-person (just mark off-line payment when checking out), checks should be made out to the California Scottish Rite Foundation. This ensures that your place is secured for what promises to be a delightful day filled with community spirit and camaraderie.


The picnic is open to Members, their Families, and Friends, making it a perfect opportunity to bring loved ones together for a day of enjoyment.
